DESTINATION DRIVERS USES MY VEHICLE OR RENTAL?

Yes! You are hiring a designated driver who drives your own vehicle (or rental) for wine tours, concerts, weddings, special events and beyond.

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A CAR?

You can rent one and have us drive it for you. It will likely be much more affordable than the local alternatives.

INSURANCE – HOW IT WORKS

California Vehicle Code 17150
Permissive use is when you give a driver who is not listed on your car insurance policy permission to drive your car. Permissive drivers are covered by your car insurance, though coverage limits may vary. All drivers have full coverage insurance as well.

BOOKING DRIVERS FOR OTHER PURPOSES THAN WINE TOURS

You can book a driver for one-way rides, airport runs, long-distance trips, business trips, concerts and weddings, medical appointments, and anything else where you’d like to leave the driving to someone else.

ABOUT THE DRIVERS

The roster of local drivers in each region are trained and tested to ensure they exercise high-level awareness and attention to detail. Every driver is a non-smoker with a clear DMV record. Most have been first-hand referred by existing members of the team. All drivers are referred to you by Destination Drivers, and you hire them for whatever your needs may be (wine tours, outings, dinners, etc)

WINERY / ITINERARY PLANNING

It’s your day and you get to go where you want, when you want, for as long as you want. With that in mind, we routinely make suggestions and do assist with planning to make your experience the best it can possibly be. Help us help you by indicating what type of experiences and wines you enjoy if you’d like us to help you with a route.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Your designated wine tour driver is included at an hourly rate. They bring bottled waters to keep everyone hydrated. Drivers are happy to pick up food for you and bring it along, if requested. Tasting fees are at your expense. You’ll be treated like a VIP in the comfort of your own vehicle. No DUIs, no problems!

LARGE GROUPS

For groups larger than one vehicle can fit, you may simply hire additional drivers to drive additional vehicles. We can drive up to 15 passenger vans.

DOGS AND DOG-FRIENDLY WINERIES

You’re absolutely welcome to bring your pup along for the ride! Many wineries are dog-friendly, though some are not—which is why we’re happy to tailor your itinerary to pet-welcoming locations. We’ve even compiled guides to help you plan a dog-friendly wine tasting experience in various regions:
