Since 1882, Korbel has been crafting some of California’s most exquisite sparkling wines or ‘California champagnes’ right from their picturesque estate nestled in the stunning Russian River Valley. Located 5 minutes from Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve of ancient Redwoods, and just 20 minutes from the rugged but stunning Sonoma Coast, Korbel is situated along one of Northern California’s most traveled and storied scenic river roads.
With pride, Korbel has held fast to the time-honored French tradition of methode champenoise, in which the champagne is fermented in the same bottle from which it is served. If you’re curious about this old world magic, learn more about the captivating process by stopping by the winery for a complimentary tasting and tour.
Besides the sparkling wines most affectionately associated with their name, Korbel also produces still wines. This exclusive selection is found only at the winery or through the Korbel Wine Club. Lastly, but not least, are the six varieties of brandy, including Korbel 25, a brandy aged for more than 25 years.
Handcrafted in small batches at Korbel’s artisan distillery using only the finest California grapes, Korbel brandy is masterfully aged to perfection in premium oak barrels – fire charred and mellowed to achieve a golden amber color, rich butterscotch aroma, and extra smooth taste.
Korbel Champagne Cellars
A 50-minute historic walking tour departs daily from the Korbel Railroad Station, built in 1876, and is not to be missed. Each docent-led tour takes visitors through the antique wine cellar, including a stop in the estate museum to see artifacts from the winery’s inception. Also not to miss is the Garden Tour, April through mid-October, Tuesday through Sunday. Tour the original gardens planted in the 1880s to fully appreciate the stunning beauty that the original Korbel founders envisioned.

Enjoy a delicious lunch purchased from Korbel’s award- winning delicatessen under the ancient Redwoods native to the California Coastal region. On a breezy day you can lay back and watch above you as the crown of these majestic monoliths sway slowly back and forth hundreds of feet above.
Korbel’s full-service deli offers gourmet specials daily as well as traditional deli fare and, of course Korbel California champagne.
